Job Description :
 

Role is strategic and must love to lead. You will manage of a small team of direct & indirect reports in their headquarters in Jacksonville, FL on a hybrid schedule.


 


Key responsibilities:


 


· Establishes the overall accounts payable strategy and execution


 


· Responsible for developing, building and driving the future model through software evolution and significant change management ownership


 


· Manages the supplier invoice payment process 3-way match


 


· Ensures timely and comprehensive vendor statement reconciliations


 


· Ensures timely and orderly disbursement cycles and Accounts Payable Aging efficiency


 


· Responsible for department metric reports to management, e.g., bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly.


 


· Provides accounting assistance and responds to financial questions/concerns to meet business needs.


 


· Assists in compliance with internal controls.


 


· Leads through influence and collaborates with partners across the Company to deliver a leading-class customer experience in an efficient, cost-effective manner


 


· Annual 1099s


 


· Collaborate with management to identify, review, and monitor internal risk and control activities and strategies


 


· Stay ahead of changing business conditions or practices


 


· Work actively with the Technology team on any issues arising from payable technology and tools


 


· Own the vendor maintenance lifecycle


 


Required Qualifications :
 

· Bachelor’s Degree


 


· Minimum 7+ years corporate account payable function


 


· Demonstrated skill in designing and implementing business tools and strategies


 


· Proactive decision-maker with solid financial and analytical skills, able to partner effectively across the organization to meet established strategy and goals


 


· Ability to communicate effectively with a high degree of comfort with management, peer groups and internal and external auditors


 


· Experience managing, coaching and developing employees


 


· Strong understanding of internal controls, fraud and risk


 


· Ability to lead a team, work independently and deliver results in a timely and accurate manner; possess a proactive, hands-on approach to project management and issue resolution


 


· Strong desktop skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
